On May 1 and 2, 2024, WealthBlock platforms experienced an intermittent service outage. Our team identified the cause of these outages coming from our job queue and implemented a fix to resolve all intermittency as of May 2, 2024 9:30 AM CST.
This outage was in relation to the email job queue which caused a spike in our servers due to the existing thresholds set.
Remediation:
We have remedied this by updating our job queue to no longer cause unforeseen spikes in our servers via a backend code update. In addition to addressing the root cause, we have implemented additional API monitoring systems. The monitoring system will continue to review and alert internal teams to review actions or spikes immediately.
