Manage how users access your platform (Accounts, Authentication, Approval, Registration)

There are several features you can turn on or off to gate access to your platform.

To update platform access:

  1. Select Platform from the left menu
  2. Choose Settings
  3. Click the Features tab
  4. Use the checkboxes to enable or disable the following options:
    • Disallow self-registration: Prevents anyone from registering on your platform
      • This essentially means that your platform is entirely invite-only, only accessible by people you add to your CRM

    • Require Account Approval: Is less restrictive, as it allows users to register as they would on any other site.
      • Before they can continue viewing your offerings, they must be approved by an admin user
      • You’ll get an email that an approval is pending, and with a click of a button, can deny or approve them

    • Require Account Approval for Invites: Accounts created by admin users or via invite will require approval

    • Require Sign-in to View Offers: Regardless of the status of your offers, only registered users of your site who are signed in will be able to see them
      • Turn this off if you are a crowdfunding platform that requires users to be able to view offers before signing up

    • Require Email Verification to View OffersWhether this setting is on or off, we’ll send an email to users when they sign up to verify their email
      • When this feature is enabled, users will not be able to view offers until they do so

    • Allow Non-accredited Investors to Sign Up: While this allows users to enter the platform, you still have the ability to control what offers they’ll be able to see at the offer level

    • Hide Accreditation Sign Up Step: Investors will not see the option to select their accreditation status when they are signing up to use the platform

    • Disallow Investors from Managing Documents: Only admin users will have the ability to add or remove documents from investor accounts
      • Any documents present will be read-only for investors

    • Allow Issuers to Self-Register Accounts: When signing up, users will be asked if they are investors or issuers

    • Disallow modify account after KYC: Prevent users from making any changes to their account information after the KYC check has been completed
