If an Entity account type will manage other accounts in your platform, one option to provide them with access is to make them a Parent Account.
Parent Accounts will have the ability to manage and allocate funds in any of the accounts assigned to them (child accounts).
When a new Entity account type is created, you will have the ability to select them as a Parent Account on any other account in your platform.
To do so:
- Select Accounts from the left menu
- Choose the account that the entity will manage
- Click View/Edit Settings under Parent Account/Advisor Settings
- Select the entity from the drop-down menu
- Click Save Account
The next time a user from the Parent Account logs in to the platform, they will have the ability to select Accounts on the left menu to see only their child accounts. Any new users added to the Parent Account will have access to the view the child accounts. They will be able to click into the account to view account data and transactions.
