Onboarding: How to create and use email templates (Bulk Emails, Investor Communication)

Email templates are available to use when you would like to communicate with your users on a regular basis, or send the same email content to different groups of investors.


To create a new template: 

  1. Select Engagement from the left menu
  2. Click Email Templates
  3. Choose Add a New Email Template
  4. Add your email content and the Link Landing Page
    • The landing page will be the page in the platform where users will be directed when they click the link included in the email
      • This selection will also group your existing templates in lists (for example: all templates for a selected offer will be listed together)
  5. Click Save & Send Me a Test to review how your email will appear to users
    NOTE: Emojis are not currently supported in email content. 



If you need to edit your template:

  1. Select Engagement from the left menu
  2. Click Email Templates
  3. Find the template you would like to edit
    • Remember, the templates are grouped by landing page
  4. Click on the template
  5. Edit the email content
  6. Click Save


You can also create new templates during your email workflow.  If you realize you may need to send the same content more than once, it could be helpful to save it as a template.


As an example, we can review the process for sending an update to user: 


  1. Select Accounts from the left menu
  2. Use the checkbox to choose the user we would like to email
  3. Click Engage Selected
  4. Choose Send Email or Invite
  5. Add the email content
  6. Check the box to Save this email as a template
  7. Click Send


In our example from above, we sent an update to a single user.  If we would like to use our new template to send the same update to a group of investors in bulk, we can do so.


To use an email template to send a bulk update:

  1. Select Accounts from the left menu
  2. Use the checkboxes to choose the users we would like to email
    • We can utilize any saved Lists or applicable Filters to quickly select multiple users
  3. Click Engage Selected
  4. Choose Send Email or Invite
  5. Click the Menu icon
  6. Choose the template you would like to apply
  7. Click Send
