Auto-Investment (Recurring investments, automatic investment)

If you would like to allow your investors to schedule future investments in an offer, the Recurring Investment feature is now available for all platforms.

Enabling the Feature


The option to allow investors to set up automatic investments can be added at the offer-level.  


To do so: 

  1. Select Offers from the left menu
  2. Click into the offer you would like to update
  3. Choose Investor Flow on the left
  4. Click Add an investment step
  5. Select Recurring Investment from the list
  6. Input the amounts desired
  7. Click Save Changes




Investor View


During the Investor Flow, the investor will then be prompted to opt-in to a monthly cycle. The default options for this feature are None and Custom Amount input. 

NOTE: The investor will not be able to invest under the minimum set in the Investment Restrictions, unless you have specified an exception for the Repeat Investment Minimum.





 The investor will then be asked when they would like to start this monthly occurrence before proceeding.



Investors will also have the option to opt-out and manage their recurring investment.


To do so: 

  1. They can select Portfolio from the top of their page
  2. Choose the Investments tab
  3. In the Auto Invest column they will see the Settings Gear where they can update their preferences 




Reviewing Recurring Transactions


As an Administrator of your platform, you can review any transactions that have been automatically created based on an investors recurring schedule.  


To do so: 

  1. Select Transactions from the left menu
  2. Open the Select a View drop-down menu
  3. Click Recurring to review all related accounts associated to this feature.



Changing Payment Method


Should an investor need to change the payment method that is associated with their recurring transaction, they have the option to modify it from their Portfolio.


To do so: 

  1. Select Portfolio from the top of the page
  2. Choose the Investments tab
  3. Click the gear icon in the Auto Invest column
  4. Use the pencil icon to edit the Payment Method
  5. Select the new method 
  6. Follow any prompts for setting up a new method
  7. Click Update
