Charging Fees

You have the option to customize your offers, and charge fees when investors create transactions.

To customize your offer, you can take the following steps:

  1. Select Offers from the left menu
  2. Click into any offer
  3. Choose Investor Flow on the left
  4. If you do not already have a Payment Method step added, you will need to click Add an Investment Step to include it in the flow
  5. Once your Payment Method step is added, click the gear icon to expand the customization options

Offer - Level Fees

Fees added to the Payment Method step will apply to all of the payment options available to your investors for the offer.  You can choose to add a Fixed Fee, which will be a flat rate applied to all transactions, regardless of amount.  Alternatively, you can choose a Percent Fee, which will be calculated by the investment amount.

Fees Per Payment Method

Fees added to each payment option investors can use on the offer will be unique to the investor's selection.  For example, you can charge a fee for only investors who decide to pay with a Credit Card.

Use the gear icon next to each payment option to apply a fee.  You will have the option to choose between a Fixed and a Percent Fee.

Combining Fees

If you would like to charge all investors a Offer-Level Fee, as well as apply a Fee Per Payment Method, you can use the checkbox in each payment option to Combine fee with offer-level payment fee.  Any fees applied will be totaled and charged at the time of the transaction.
