If users can make investments in available offers without a full accreditation check, you can adjust your platform to allow self-accreditation.
There are two options for doing so:
Platform Level:
Updating the settings at the platform level will allow investors to self-select their accreditation status from the default options available. They will not be prompted to add any accreditation documents to their accounts. This will apply to any offers using the Accreditation step in the Investor Flow, unless they are individually adjusted.
- Select Platform from the left menu
- Choose Settings
- Click into the Features tab
- Uncheck the option to Enable Full Accreditation Check
- Select Offers from the left menu
- Click into the offer that requires self-accreditation
- Choose Investor Flow
- Click Add Investment Step
- Select Accreditation
- The Enable full accreditation check option will appear unchecked by default
- This option can be checked if certain offers require the full check
- Click Save Changes on your offer

Custom Form:
If your investors can choose an accreditation status that is not part of our default list, you can construct your own self-accreditation form.
- Select Platform from the left menu
- Click Forms
- Use the option for New Form
- Include any fields an investor would need to complete to describe their accreditation status
- Click Save
Once your form is complete, you can add it to your offer.
- Select Platform from the left menu
- Click Offers
- Expand the Investor Flow menu
- Click Add an investment step
- Choose Complete Profile
- Select your new accreditation form from the drop-down menu
- Save changes
