Transaction Types

  • Full Contribution: This transaction type should be used when you are collecting 100% of the investment amount from the investor

  • Commitment Only:
    • This option is available when Capital Calls are being issued for portions of the total committed
      • For example: An investor committed 100,000, but the issuer is only calling 20% = 20,000
    • This option can also be used when Testing the Waters
      • More information can be found here

  • Capital Call: These transactions can be used when collecting payment from investors
    • Capital Calls are manually created individually or imported in bulk in either Pending or Approved status
      • More information can be found here

  • Distribution: Associating a Distribution with a Contribution will show that the investor has received a return on their investment

  • Transfer: This transaction type is designed to show movement of funds
    • For example, if an investor originally invested in Fund A, and wanted to transfer their original investment amount to Fund B, you could use negative and positive transfers to show this movement.

  • Redemption: This type can be applied if an investor has sold or redeemed any shares/holdings

  • Account Statement: Adding an Account Statement transaction will update the investor's portfolio with new data about their investments

Transaction Statuses

  • Pending: A transaction is considered Pending if funds need to be sent or if the transaction must be Approved prior to allowing an investor to proceed with the Investor Flow

  • Approved: Moving a transaction to Approved status allows an investor to proceed with any remaining action items in the Investor Flow

  • Payment Received: This status is applied when funds are received from the investor

  • Complete: Transactions can be moved to Complete when an offer has closed, and funds will be collected
  • Reinvested: Distributions can be marked as Reinvested to show that the investor has elected to further invest in an offer
    • More details on reinvestments can be found here

  • Rejected: If an investor is not approved to proceed, or the offer has exceeded the funding goal and funds are no longer needed, transactions can be Rejected

  • Delete Forever: If a transaction was created in error and records are not required, using the option to Delete Forever will remove it permanently from the platform
