Once your investors and offers have been added to your platform, you can associate them with any prior or offline transactions.
- For more information on adding investors to your CRM, click here
- For information on adding offers, click here
- If you have offers that have been closed or completed, a placeholder offer will need to be created in the platform in order to link the transaction
You can add transactions individually, or in bulk.
Individually:
You can update your Accounts with any transactions that may have occurred outside the platform.
To do so:
- Select Accounts from the left menu
- Click into the account you would like to update
- Choose the Transactions tab
- Click Add a Transaction
- Provide the following information:
- Offer
- Amount
- Date
- Type
- Status
- You also have the option of including Price Per Share, Number of Shares, and Current Value
- Click Submit
If documents were required at the time of the transactions, you can upload files and folders within the Account. Choose the Documents tab to add completed documents.
In Bulk:
You can upload transactions using an Excel import.
To do so:
- Select Transactions from the left menu
- Click Import
- Ensure the columns included in your Excel file match the required order
- Confirm you have all required data:
- Offer Symbol
- The best way to retrieve the Offer Symbol is to use the List view of your Offers
- Amount
- Date
- Add any other Columns from the drop-down menu that match the columns on your file
- Upload your file
- Click Import Transactions
NOTE: You also have the option to include an Account Number in your spreadsheet, by checking the box: My spreadsheet includes existing account numbers. This is required when you have investors with more than one account. For example, you may have an investor with both an Individual and an Entity account type, and you will want to be sure the transactions are associated with the correct account.
Once your transactions have been imported, they will each be assigned a Transaction ID. You can use this ID to associate transactions with each other. For example, if you need to attach a Capital Call to a Commitment, you can:
- Select Transactions from the left menu
- Click Export
- Choose the option to Export In Import Format
- This will allow you to retrieve the Transaction ID
- You can add the Transaction ID to your import spreadsheet in the Related Transaction ID column
- This will allow you to import a second set of transactions, attached to the existing transactions
You can also upload any associated documents in bulk. For more information, click here.
