Transaction Reporting (Custom Dashboards, Investor Views of Transaction, Data Review, Export, Quarterly, Distribution)

Our new Reports feature will allow you create customized reports and dashboards on any transaction data available in your platform.


This feature will assist you in managing your raises, by enabling you to review and share the relevant data.

Creating a new report


To generate a new report in your platform: 

  1. Select Reports from the left menu
  2. If you do not have any reports just yet, you will see a button to Create your first report


  3. If you have reports saved, you can click Create Report to start a new one


    • You can also use the edit pencil to edit any existing reports
  4. Use the edit pencil to name your report
  5. Click the plus icon to add columns to your report
    • You will see columns organized by:
      • Account
      • User
      • Offer
      • Transaction
    • Each category will display different column options
    • Any fields you have added to your Forms will be available to select
      NOTE: For more information on customizing your Forms, we recommend checking on this article.

  6. Continue adding as many columns as you need
  7. Your report will save as you work 


Filtering and grouping data


You have several options for filtering an grouping your data once you have added columns to your report.

  1. Filtering by list:
    • Filtering your report by a Dynamic, Account, or User list that you have saved in your CRM will only show data pertaining to members of the list
  2. Filtering by offer:
    • Filtering your report by one of your Offers will only show transactions that were created for that offer
  3. Filtering by date: 
    • Using the date range selection will only show data from transactions that were created during the time frame provided
  4. Filtering columns:
    • To add a filter to any of your columns, you can use the Filters drop-down menu


You also have options to group your reports.

  1. Grouping by offer:
    • When you group a report by Offer, all line items pertaining to the same offer will be consolidated and any amounts will be totaled
      • For example: You have investors who have many investments in the same offer, and you would like to show the Total Contributed per offer
  2. Grouping by account:
    • When you group a report by Account, all line items for the same account will be combined regardless of offer
      • For example: You have investors who have multiple investment, and you would like to see their Total Contributed across all offers


Building interactive dashboards


Once your reports are ready, you can use the data you have organized to create customized dashboards.  


To start a new dashboard: 

  1. Select Reports from the left menu
  2. Choose New Dashboard
    • You can also use the edit pencil to edit any existing dashboards
  3. Use the plus icon to select a page element
    • Performance Metric: Use Dynamic Variables to calculate metrics, such as {{total_contributed}}
      • These metrics will calculated based on either:
        • Overall transaction data (when viewing as an admin)
        • Specific investor transaction data (when viewing as an investor)
    • Report Table/Chart: Select a report you have created, and display the data as a report or a chart
    • Text: Adding text can provide investors will important information about the offer in paragraph form
      • You can also use text to divide your page into sections with individual headers
    • Visuals: Display details in creative ways that make it easy to highlight facts or figures, by adding visuals such as:
      • Images
      • Videos
      • Tiles
      • Data Tables / Charts

    • PDFs/Decks: Uploading a PDF or Deck allows investors to scroll through any materials you have already put together

      • If your documents have multiple pages, you can display all or prompt the investor to page through to better record what an investor has viewed

    • HTML: Using HTML allows for further customization of your page layout and page elements

  4. Continue adding additional elements until your dashboard is complete

  5. Click Save Dashboard




Sharing data with investors


If you would like to share your dashboards with your investors, there are several ways you can do so.


  1. Distributing your dashboard as a statement
    • You can add your statement to your investors' documents for review, by using the option to Distribute Statements
    • You can upload the statements in bulk to specific investors, by selecting one of your saved investor lists



  2. Setting your dashboard as the Portfolio
    • Using this option will replace the default Portfolio in all your investor accounts
    • This will allow you to display dynamic data based, as your page elements will update in each investor account based on the available transaction data
      • To test your dashboard as an investor, click Preview as and choose one of your accounts
  3. Setting your dashboard as the Landing Page
    • Using this option will display your dashboard when your investors log in to to the platform
      • If you only want specific investors to land on your custom dashboard when they log in, you choose which investors should see it by selecting a list
