My E-Sign changes often, what can I do? Can I create a universal E-Sign Template? (Offer Forms, Subscription Agreement)

If you have a Subscription Agreement that requires few changes from offer to offer, or that you frequently amend within the life-cycle of an offer, you may want to consider creating a universal E-Sign Template.  


NOTE: To accomplish this, you will need a PDF/Word copy of your Subscription Agreement that uses blank spaces in place of any of your offer-specific data.

Create an Offer Form


The first step will be to create a new Offer Form in your platform.  This form will need to contain the fields where information will change across your offers.


For example, if you use the same Subscription Agreement, but change the offer name within the document, you will need a field for Offer Name.  


To create your form: 


  1. Select Platform from the left menu
  2. Choose Forms
  3. Use the plus icon to create a new form
  4. Add all fields that will be altered or amended
    • Make sure to check the box to Add to E-Sign Mapping
    • Additionally, check Make Read-Only in E-Sign if you do not want this field to be editable
  5. Save your form





Create the Template


Now that you have the fields Added to E-Sign Mapping, you can create your template.  



To do so: 


  1. Select Platform from the left menu
  2. Choose Documents
  3. Click Edit E-Sign Templates
  4. Choose Create a New E-Sign Template
  5. Upload your Subscription Agreement
    • You will want to make sure your document has empty spaces for the data that will be populated from the platform
  6. Click Create Template
  7. Drag and drop Sender (pink) fields into your document
  8. Use the What Text Goes Here drop-down menu to select the keys that were created when you added your Form fields
  9. Customize the font and text size to match your document
  10. Click Continue






Add Template to Your Offer


To obtain a signature from your investors, you will need to add your Subscription Agreement to your Investor Flow.  


To do so: 


  1. Select Offers from the left menu
  2. Click into any of your offers
  3. Click Investor Flow on the left 
  4. If you do not already have an E-Sign Document step added to your flow, you will need to add it by clicking Add an Investment Step
  5. If you do have an E-Sign Document step, use the gear icon to open the settings
  6. Click Add an E-Sign Template
  7. Choose your template
  8. Save changes



Update the Offer Form


The final step will be to fill out your Offer Form.  After you have entered data into your form, any E-Sign Documents generated by your investors will populate with the information you included.  If you need to make changes to this data, you can do so at any time.  Subsequent E-Sign Documents generated will be updated accordingly.  


To fill out the form: 


  1. Select Offers from the left menu
  2. Click into any of your offers
  3. Click the title of your Offer Form on the left 
  4. Complete the fields
  5. Save changes
