Setting up the cash asset
The first step will be to create an offer with the Security Type listed as Cash.
To do so:
- Select Offers from the left menu
- Click Add Offer
- Open the Basic Info section
- Add the name of your offer and the associated Issuer
- From the Security Type drop-down menu, choose Cash
- Click Save Changes
You can continue to build out your offer, providing any other information you would like to share with your investors. You will need to customize your Investor Flow to determine what steps an investor will need to take in order to invest in the offer.
Investing in a cash asset
To add funds to their Portfolio, investors will need to invest in the cash asset you have created. They will need to go through the Investor Flow you have set on the offer, and send funds using one of the Payment Methods you have enabled.
Once the transaction in the cash offer has been updated to Payment Received, the investor will see funds appearing in their Portfolio.
Accepting funds on other offers
To allow investors to utilize funds on other offers, you will need to enable Cash as a Payment Method.
To do so:
- Select Offers from the left menu
- Click into the offer where you would like to accept cash from investors
- Choose Investor Flow on the left
- Click the gear icon on the Payment Method step
- Use the checkbox to enable your cash offer
- Click Save Changes
Using funds on other offers
To use their cash balance on an offer, investors will need to go through the Investor Flow you have set on the offer. When they reach the Payment Method step, they will see the option to select the cash asset.
When they confirm their investment, they will see their balance update accordingly in their Portfolio.
