How can I change the countersigner on my E-Sign Template for each investor? (Dynamic Countersigner, Form Fields, Account Assignments)

If the countersigner on an E-Sign Template will be different for each of your investors, you can use the option to assign the document dynamically.  There are a few steps you will need to take to use this feature.


Form Update


A new form field will be needed, to allow the countersigner selection to be made on the account level.  


To do so:

  1. Select Forms from the left menu
  2. Use the pencil icon to edit your forms
    • Example: Individual Investor - Account form
  3. Click Add a new field
  4. Choose Single-Select List as the field type
  5. Name your field
  6. Check the box to Use Admin Users as Options OR Use Accounts as Options
  7. Use the Only visible to drop-down menu to select Admins
  8. Click Save



Account Update


Once your field has been added, you can make the selection of the countersigner in each account.


To do so: 

  1. Select Accounts from the left menu
  2. Click into any of your accounts
  3. Use the drop-down menu to select the admin user who will will be signing any E-Sign Documents created for the account
  4. Click Save Account


E-Sign Creation


Finally, you will need to E-Sign Template to choose the field that will be used to assign the countersigner.


To do so: 

  1. Select Offers from the left menu
  2. Click into the offer you would like to update
  3. Choose Investor Flow from the left menu
  4. Ensure an E-Sign Document step is added
    • If not, click Add an Investment Step
    • If already present, click the gear icon
      NOTE: Your template will need to have at least 1 countersigner. If your template was created without a countersigner, you can add the Signer Role by editing the template.


  5. Use the Countersigner Email Address drop-down menu to choose your form field
  6. Click Save Changes
