What should I do if I need to make a change to my E-Sign Template, but an investor has already signed? (E-Sign, Editing, Manual Request)

If you need to edit your E-Sign Template, but an investor has already signed, there are several steps that you will need to take to request a new signature.

Delete Existing Document

The first step will be to delete the document that the investor has signed, so they can sign the new version.

  1. Select Accounts from the left menu
  2. Click into the investor's account
  3. Choose the Documents tab
  4. Use the menu icon on the E-Sign Document to choose Delete E-Sign

If the investor already does not have a transaction created just yet, they can go back into the Investor Flow and sign the template that you updated.

Manually Request a New Document

If a transaction was created, you will need to send them a manual request to sign the new template.

  1. Select Accounts from the left menu
  2. Click into the investor's account
  3. Choose the Documents tab
  4. Click Request E-Sign
  5. Choose your new template from the drop-down, and fill out all fields
    • Be sure to select the transaction that was created
  6. Click Save
